TomCat,
I have both the Supertrapp and the Raask. I have the Supertrapp on now which is a great addition. It doesn't really flow with the look of the bike cosmetically in my opinion, but great sound and great performance. You can purchase them online or your local dealer. As for the Raask, I just received it last week. Great looking system! Have not installed it yet. But you have to contact Mr. Sivert Rassk for the pipe. You can email via the link on the website and Mr. Raask is more than helpful and will make the process very smooth. I received the pipe about 5 days after they received payment. The prices of the both are about $200-$230 for the Supertrapp and $240 ($185 + $55 shipping to the States) for the Raask. If interested, when I install the Raask, I may be interested in selling the Supertrapp. It's partially blued but works perfectly fine. Good luck to you and hope this information was helpful. hey, really appreciate the info you supplied. it's great to find someone with experience with both pipes. would you mind dropping us all a line on your experience with the raask after you've gotten it installed (i.e. comparison)? supertrapp is already bluing? is this a slipon (i know the raask is a total replacement)? the site is a little vague on that. thanks much

TomCat,
Yes the Supertrapp is a slip on and the Raask is a complete system. It is a high quality double wall pipe. Mine came with a removable baffle about 18" long. Right now, I am treating the inside for the heat which takes a couple of days to get the number of layers I want, but hopefully the weather will cooperate so that I can install it next week. I will certainly post a follow-up. Good luck!

Hi Volley I want you to remember when or if you remove that baffle inside the RAASKpipe dont forget to put back the screw that hold the baffle, otherwise the long tube that has glasswoll around it will come out, howe do I know this? Answer: the hard way, and a car run over it so it was impossible to put it back in. I have had my RAASK for 2,5 years now and I am still pleased with it, no baffle but god power 160 mainjet, lifted needle 1 clip and removed snorkel of the intake Odar

Ram,
There is an aftermarket product called Chrome Gaurd (I think thats the name), that is a thermal barrier lining for new pipes to help deter heat problems. Or as an alternative that I found on this site and further researched online and through visiting several shops, you can also use a high temperature liquid paint or barbeque grill paint. However, keep in mind, blueing/browning is a heat related problem, and if you ride long enough it will happen to any bike and depending on your riding styles and how well or not so well your bike is tuned will cause this to happen faster or slower. These techniques are only designed to slow down the process not prevent it. Hope this information helps. Good luck.

The RAASK is a quailty drag style pipe, essentially no muffler, just the baffle when installed. Straight pipes are very noisy and in some area a citable (ticket) offense. The superTrapp is a megaphone fiberglass packed muffler with a way of changing the size of the outlet to tune it for torque or HP which also changes the noise level. With 4 discs it is nice, 8 makes it pretty noisy and without an end cap, it is scary. I have both and I think the quality of the RAASK is better and it is good value for the money. I ended up using mine, bought used, for a header, I cut off about an foot and have an HD glasspac muffler on it. the muffler slides between the walls of the pipe so it appears seamless and works w/o clamp. I made it long for more torque. Hopefully there will be a picture up soon on the owners page. Max
