Do Savages have tranny fluid? Should you check the fluid or change it? I know HDs do but there is nothing in my owners manual saying anything about it??

Hi Chuck, The Savage motor is of unit construction. This means the engine and gearbox are in one unit, and not seperate components. The transmission (gearbox) on the Savage is lubracated by the same oil that lubracates the engine. I hope this explanation is helpful,
