Hey - has anybody ever bought a seat from JCWhitney for their Savage and if so, how'd you like it. The aftermarket for seat on our bikes is slim and I'm not sure if my seat project is gonna make it until the end or not. I've seen the gel seats but they have the same positioning problem as do the original. The one in JCW looks like they beef up the front a bit for a little better positioning for your pelvis. Help me if you can!? And say a prayer for our troops please!!!!

I hated my seat, and found the same problems with the aftermarket choices. I picked up a softtail seat and modified it to make it work. If you can dream it it can be done. I love my Savage!

Based on a tip from a forum guy (forgot who), I raised the front of my seat for less of a "Slide" positioning. It was easy and cheap.

I always felt like I was tipped forward into wedgie-town with the stock positioning.

Try this first before spending money on a new seat that might not work for you in the end.

i replaced the stock seat with a suzuki gel seat and raised the front about an inch using rubber bushings,new seat good for about a full tank full of riding with not much discomfort at all,recommend this seat over any other except for when it gets wet it stays wet...
