I was just wondering if anyone with the Supertrapp slip-on has ever riden it without the endcap? I've just been playing around with the discs and such and was wondering if I took off the endcap (realizing that this would make the bike very loud) would this cause any damage to the bike. BTW I have the white spacer removed and fuel mixture screw adjusted. It is a 99 US model. Input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I ride my savage with a supertrapp with 8 discs and an open endcap. I tried running it without any cap, but I felt the performance wasn't up to snuff. I bought the open endcap for about $20 and I love it. Rode 3 months that way with no visible problems. It is extremely loud, and makes little suzi sound much bigger than she is. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Where I live the streets are overly congested and filled with horrible drivers. Anything that makes those drivers more aware of me can only help.
If you want info on the open cap send me an email, I'll give you the site I bought it from.

Ghost,
Thank you for the response. I think I may have seen the endcaps before, but can't remember where. It may have been on Supertrapp's site, not sure. If you would like to send me the site, great. Just click my name for my email address. Thanks!
